Dr. Miranda McClellan was raised in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and knew from a young age that she wanted to become a veterinarian. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University.
While in veterinary school, she completed an externship here at Foothills and during her time in Mount Airy, Dr. McClellan quickly fell in love with the community and knew she wanted to make North Carolina her home. After graduation, she was excited to officially join the Foothills Pet Healthcare team.
Dr. McClellan’s professional interests include preventative medicine, soft tissue surgery, rehabilitation, and internal medicine. She is especially passionate about integrative medicine and enjoys creating individualized treatment plans that are both effective and practical for each patient and family. Outside of the clinic, Dr. McClellan enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family. She is excited to continue getting to know the community and looks forward to caring for pets and the people who love them for years to come.
